Kevin Rivera, founder of Rivera Employment Law, brings two decades of experience advising employers — from startups to established companies — across a wide range of industries, including technology, media, law, entertainment, finance, real estate, manufacturing, construction, and hospitality.
Kevin began his career in 2006 at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton, one of the country’s leading business law firms, where he spent seven years representing and advising employers of all sizes. He founded Rivera Employment Law to bring that same high-caliber counsel directly to employers, with a sharper focus and greater accessibility.
Kevin holds a J.D. from UC Berkeley and a B.A. from Cal State Fullerton. He is a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators, the Hispanic National Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
An active voice in the employment law community, Kevin has authored numerous articles published by organizations including the California State Bar and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He was featured on the cover of the March 2018 issue of Los Angeles Lawyer Magazine.
